The ATTI Approach

ATTI supports the transformation of the apparel and textile industry through the development of Apparel and Textile Transformation Plans at the country level. ATTI Country Chapters devise and implement Transformation Plans, with the support of the ATTI Global Council.

ATTI employs a three-step process for the development of each Apparel and Textile Transformation Plan.

Step 1

In Step One, the ATTI Global Council and the ATTI Country Chapter work together to conduct an ATTI Needs Assessment.

Each Needs Assessment takes five key aspects of industry transformation into consideration:

Data | Capacity Building and Technical Assistance | Technology and Machinery | Finance | Policy

The purpose of the Needs Assessment is to identify Key Industry Transition Needs: high-priority, systemic challenges that require manufacturer-leadership and industry collaboration to unlock.

ATTI has an open scope: we consider issues including emissions, water consumption and discharge, chemicals, and waste, addressing the highest-priority challenges according to country context.
