Pakistan Joins ATTI

ATTI is delighted to announce that the Pakistan Readymade Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) has formally committed to establishing a National Chapter under ATTI, making Pakistan the third country to join the initiative alongside pioneer countries Bangladesh and Türkiye.

The commitment was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between PRGMEA and ATTI on June 24th at a half-day event co-hosted by ATTI and British International Investment (BII) during London Climate Action Week 2026. The event, Financing Transformation in the Global Textile Sector, brought together leading brands, manufacturers, associations, financiers, and industry platforms to accelerate practical, scalable decarbonisation approaches across the global textile sector.

Under the agreement, ATTI will support PRGMEA across the full scope of work, including a Needs Assessment, collaborative solutions design, and the development and implementation of a context-specific Transformation Plan for Pakistan's garment and textile sector. PRGMEA, in turn, commits to providing the institutional resources, staff capacity, and member engagement required for effective implementation.

As one of the world's most significant garment manufacturing and exporting nations, Pakistan's inclusion strengthens ATTI's mission to reduce fragmentation, coordinate efforts, and accelerate the sector's transition to lower-impact production.
